There is no better place to begin discovering the multitude of wines offered by this world famous region than Souillac Country Club. Strikeout in almost any direction and within minutes you will be amongst some of the finest vineyards in France.

There are also several good wine merchants in the area that can help you choose some fabulous French wine to take home with you and share with all your friends.

Vineyards

Georges Vigouroux: Route de Toulouse, 46003 Cahors
Owns about 40 châteaux including château Haut-Serre.  Its main outlet in Cahors is excellent for wine tasting.

Chateau la Gineste
Proprietor, André Lamothe.  House has been in family for three centuries.

Saint Emilion et Pomerol
World famous Bordeaux wine situated west of Bergerac and north east of Bordeaux.

Monbazillac
Semi sweet white wine, which is the traditional accompaniment to Foie Gras.

Domaine des Savarines, Trespoux, Cahoes.
Very strong white wine with lots of flavour.  Open at least 2 hours before drinking to catch it at its best. 1995 is drinking well.

Cahors
Among the Lot Valley, mostly south side from Soturac to Lomagdeleine.
